HIGH SPEED RAIL TRIBOMETER

The TTCI determined there was a need for an automated way to measure the COF of rail.  A committee was created of selected railway MOW personnel, and a request for proposal was put out.  GKC Conusulting was hired by DMF to design the HSRT, and working along with the committee, they establish the parameters needed, and the HRST was developed.  It has been providing contract service to the industry through L. B. Foster (Portec Rail Products) since 1998.  It has proven to be a valuable tool in managing rail lubrication. (patented)

TRIBOMETER AND TRUCK WITH CUSTOM ROLLBACK - GKC designed the rollback truck bed and specified the truck for Portec Rail Products.
